Duke was the most amazing dog. Everyone loved him so much. Wherever we lived over the 12 almost 13 years we had him and we lived in at least that many different homes. Each one Duke found his friends he would visit on his morning jot around the neighborhood.
He never walked with a leash yet was always by your side. He was part of our family from day one. He saw Nick and I marry, have 2 beautiful children that tortured him, yet he loved them back with a bark or a growl. We'd go one beach walks, hiking trails. He loved his life. He also adored my mom. And she loved him. Hopefully Duke , my mom and sister are having a ball up there. Until we meet again my sweet Dukie. Kisses.
